Eagles head coach Andy Reid met the media today and among other topics, addressed the status of QB Michael Vick, who sustained a concussion 2 weeks ago against the Cowboys. Reid said that while Vick is improving, he's still in what is considered "stage one" of the recovery process.
"Michael is working his way into phase two," Reid said. "He was able to get out here, practice, and watch and he sat in meetings. He hasn't worked out or anything yet but he's getting close to phase two."
To reach the second phase of the NFL's concussion protocol, Vick will have to pass a baseline concussion test. After not passing that test earlier this week, he's yet to take another. Reid said that he'll be scheduled for another later in the week.
"In the next few days here he'll start working out and then they'll do the testing."
Reid was non-committal when asked whether there was enough time for Vick to pass the tests and be ready for Monday night.
