The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Phoenix Suns, 104-101, on Sunday at the Wells Fargo Center.
The game was closely fought throughout. The Sixers held a slim 46-41 lead at the half but played to a draw in the third quarter as both teams scored 34 points. A slump in the fourth quarter threatened to let the Sixers' lead slip away, but Philadelphia was able to hold off Phoenix in the final minute to seal the victory.
Jrue Holiday's big game led the Sixers past the Suns. Holiday finished with 32 points, 13 assists and three rebounds. Evan Turner, Thaddeus Young and Lavoy Allen also scored in double figures for the Sixers. As a team, Philadelphia shot 48.1 percent.
Michael Beasley paced the Suns with 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting. Marcin Gortat chipped in 18 points for Phoenix.
The Sixers (8-6) will play their next game on Tuesday at Wells Fargo Center against the Dallas Mavericks (7-7).
