Carl Jones scored 32 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the field to help lead Saint Joseph's over Iona, 96-91, on Friday.
Iona held a 47-45 lead after the first half but Saint Joseph's opened the second with a 24-11 run to take a 69-58 lead with 11:57 remaining in the game and they never relinquished the advantage after that.
Saint Joesph's outscored Iona 51-44 in the second half to end its two-game losing streak. The win improved the Hawks to 6-4 on the season while dropping Iona to 6-6.
Jones also added five rebounds, four assists and four steals to go along with his game-high 32 points.
Lamont Jones and David Laury had 25 and 21 points respectively for Iona while combining to shoot 18-for-37 from the field. Laury also had a game-high 14 rebounds.
Saint Joseph's shot 56.9 percent from the field including 11-of-22 from three-point territory to secure the win.
