St. Joseph's will try to bounce back from an ugly loss Saturday to No. 11 Creighton Tuesday night when they take on a lowly Coppin State team.
The start to St. Joe's season hasn't been ideal, as they've dropped two of their six games. But the two losses have been somewhat understandable: Florida State isn't the best team in the ACC, but they played well in a win in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic championship game, and Creighton is 7-1 behind the play of Doug McDermott, who scored 23 points in the 29-point win against the Hawks this past week.
Coppin State will provide an easier opponent. Ken Pomeroy's rankings have the Eagles ranked No. 318 - that's out of 347 NCAA teams - and their only win thus far came against Division II Cheyney. They'll be excused for their loss to No. 1 Indiana their last time out, but before that they'd dropped games to Florida Atlantic, Colgate, and Loyola-Maryland, not exactly a wrecking crew.
The game is at 7:30 ET at St. Joseph's Hagan Arena.
