The Temple Owls stayed undefeated on the season, defeating their Big 5 rival Villanova Wildcats, 76-61. Villanova had a four-point lead at halftime, but Temple ran away with the game in the second half, outscoring the Wildcats 44-25.

Villanova scored a higher percentage of their attempts, outshooting Temple 45 percent to 43 percent. The Owls, however, made five more threes than the Wildcats, which proved to be the difference in the game.

Temple's Scootie Randall led all scorers with 21 points, shooting 6-of-12 from the floor and draining five three-pointers. Randall also led the team in rebounds with seven. Anthony Lee went 7-of-11 from the floor en route to 16 points, while Khalif Wyatt added 13 points and four assists.

James Bell scored the most points for Villanova, earning 15 points on an efficient 5-of-8 shooting night. Tony Chennault was the only other Wildcat in double figures, as the guard had 10 points off the bench.
