Penn Vs. Columbia Preview: Quakers Look For Third Straight Win

The Penn Quakers will look to keep pace with Harvard and Yale in the Ivy League standings with a win over the Columbia Lions on Saturday.

The 14-11 Pennsylvania Quakers will host the 14-11 Columbia Lions on Saturday night, in a battle between two Ivy League teams.

Despite identical overall records, the Quakers lead Columbia by thee and a half games in the Ivy League standings because of Columbia's 3-6 conference record. Penn is 6-2 in conference play this season and reside in third place in the standings, trailing first place Harvard by a game and a half and Yale by half a game.

With six games remaining the Quakers still have an opportunity to end the season atop the Ivy League but they'll have to keep pace with Harvard by continuing to win during conference play, beginning tonight against the Lions.

The last time these two teams met was January 13 in Columbia's building, where the Quakers completed a second half comeback to defeat the Lions by two. Penn was led by Tyler Bernardini, Zack Rosen and Miles Cartwright, who combined for 47 of the Quakers' 66 points. The Lions were led by Brian Barbour, who scored a game-high, 25.

Tip is scheduled for 7:00 EST at The Palestra.
