The Hawks led by 17 at halftime, but allowed the Colonials to come back in the second half to make a game of it. George Washington trimmed the lead to as little as four a few times but never any closer.
Sophomore guard, Langston Galloway, scored a game-high 18 points to pace the Hawks, who had five players score at least eight points. Halil Kanacevic played an impressive game with 10 points, 13 rebounds (5 offensive) and five assists. The Hawks out-rebounded the Colonials 40 to 28.
St. Joe's will look to build on their winning streak on February 22 when they host the Richmond Spiders.
