The city of Philadelphia sent two teams to the NCAA tournament last year and there's a decent chance they'll send two again. Only this time, instead of Villanova joining Temple it could very well be the Drexel Dragons. ESPN's Jordan Brenner says Drexel deserves serious consideration for an at large bid.
↵↵↵Drexel annihilated a good Cleveland State Vikings team, 69-49, and has won 15 games in a row. They lock things down on D, ranking in the top 10 in both effective field goal percentage and defensive rebound percentage. And on offense, they're solid enough -- especially from 3-point range -- to get by.
↵Most impressive on Saturday was that the Dragons faced a team that thrives on forcing turnovers and shrugged off the pressure, coughing it up just seven times. Granted, Cleveland State was missing D'Aundray Brown -- a huge loss -- but Drexel is still looking very, very good.
