Drexel Vs. JMU Final Score: Dragons Cruise To 16th Straight Win

On Monday, broadcasting legend and world renown pitchman Dick Vitale said that the Drexel Dragons belonged in the Top-25. The Dragons did little to discredit Vitale’s suggestion on Wednesday night as they beat James Madison by a final score of 78-61 for their 16th straight win.

The Dragons roared into the second half of the game with a 20-9 run against the Dukes. That erased a one-point deficit at the end of the first half of the game. It was all Drexel from there, as they outscored their opponents 44-26 in the second half.

Senior forward Samme Givens had 18 points and eight rebounds. Those totals gave him 1,000 of each for his career with the Dragons, making him just the third player in school history to accomplish that feat.

Chris Fouch had 14 points off the bench, and the Dragons had a total of four players in double figures.

Their home schedule all wrapped up, the Dragons have one game left to play, against Old Dominion on Saturday.

Despite their impressive streak, there is no easy path to the Tournament for Drexel. A George Mason win would leave the two teams tied atop the CAA.
