The La Salle Explorers look for their fifth straight victory on Saturday at noon during a Big 5 battle against St. Joe's at the Palestra.
La Salle has been on a tear, ripping off four straight wins, all in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Explorers ousted Charlotte 85-72 on Wednesday behind 22 points from Tyreek Duren and 18 from Jerrel Wright to move into sole possession of first place in the A-10. The win was La Salle's 14th straight at Tom Gola Arena. With 12 wins at home so far this season, the Explorers have already established a school record.
St. Joe's rebounded from a tough five-game stretch to notch a road victory at Richmond on Wednesday. The Hawks had lost four out of five, but Carl Jones had 16 points and 10 rebounds as his team evened its Atlantic 10 Conference record at 4-4.
