Drexel Vs. James Madison: Dragons Look For 12th Straight

The Drexel Dragons search for their 12th consecutive win on Wednesday night at James Madison.

The Drexel Dragons search for their 12th consecutive win on Wednesday night when they visit James Madison for a Colonial Athletic Association bout at 7 p.m.

Drexel has not lost in more than a month, holding off Towson 65-57 Saturday in a surprisingly close contest for the Dragons' 11th straight victory. Towson had won just once all season, yet pulled within three with just more than six minutes remaining. But Drexel scored the next eight points to leave with a three-way share of first place in the CAA. Frantz Massenat led the Dragons with 25 points, 18 of them coming in the second half.

James Madison has lost four straight, all in the conference, the last coming Saturday against Delaware. The Dukes stayed within fighting distance the entire second half on Saturday, twice drawing within one point, but Delaware sunk 8-8 free throws down the stretch to hold on for the 85-80 win.
