The La Salle Explorers look to bounce back into the win column on Wednesday night when they visit Richmond for a 7 p.m. tip off.
La Salle lost for the first time in five games at St. Joe's 70-66 on Saturday to fall out of first place in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Earl Pettis led the Explorers with 17 points on Saturday, but he shot just 6 of 18 as La Salle fell one-half game behind Temple for the league lead. The Explorers are in a four-way tie for second place with Saint Louis, Massachusetts and Xavier.
Richmond has lost three consecutive outings, against St. Bonaventure, St. Joe's and Duquesne. The Spiders most recently fell to Duquesne on Saturday, 81-72, despite 21 points from Kendall Anthony. Cedrick Lindsay added 11 points and 11 assists in the loss, and Derrick Williams had 11 points and six rebounds.
