The Drexel Dragons are going to the second round of the 2012 NIT. The Dragons walked off the court on Wednesday night with a lopsided 81-56 win over the UCF Knights. It was almost as though they were trying to send a message for being left out of the 2012 NCAA tournament.
Drexel shot well from the floor, hitting 52 percent of their shots, compared to just 39 percent for UCF. Chris Fouch led the Dragons with 19 points, hitting seven-of-12. Frantz Massenat has 18 points, and Derrick Thomas and Goran Pantovic each kicked in 10 points.
The Dragons will face Northern Iowa in the second round of the 2012 NIT.
