NIT Tournament 2012 Bracket: UMass Defeats Seton Hall, Advances To Quarterfinals

Two of the final eight teams in the 2012 NIT Tournament are set, as the one seed in Region 1 – the Washington Huskies – defeated Northwestern in the second round and the five seed in Region 3 – the Massachusetts Minutemen – downed the top seed in their region, the Seton Hall Pirates.

The Huskies await the winner between the Oregon Ducks and Iowa Hawkeyes, while the Minutemen await the winner of Drexel and Northern Iowa.

The Dragons – who many believed should have been in the NCAA Tournament – are scheduled to play Northern Iowa on Sunday at 11 am EST. Drexel smashed UCF in the first round, by a final of 81-56.
