The Philadelphia 76ers held on the Atlantic Division lead after they defeated the Boston Celtics at home in the Wells Fargo Center by a score of 99-86. The Sixers now have a 27-21 record and are sitting in fourth place in the Eastern Conference and in first place in the Atlantic Division. The Celtics, now have a 25-22 record which puts them in seventh in the conference and in second behind the Sixers in the division. The Sixers have now won two of their last three.
The 76ers were led by Elton Brand, who scored 20 points at home on Friday night. Jrue Holiday chipped in 15 points and Andre Iguodala added 14 points while Lou Williams came off the bench to score 19. The Celtics were led by Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, who each scored 20 points in Philadelphia. Brandon Bass added 18 points and Marquis Daniels chipped in six off the bench.

The Sixers will attempt to build off this win on Sunday in San Antonio against the Spurs at 7 p.m. (ET) and the Celtics will try to bounce back on Sunday at home against the Washington Wizards at 6 p.m. (ET).
