Spring training baseball is not only a place for big league players to get into a rhythm before the real season starts, but also a chance for minor league guys to display their skills in the uniform of the big club. That said, these guys aren't always household names for fans... or broadcasters apparently. The St. Louis Cardinals broadcast mistakenly aired a graphic calling prospect Oscar Tavares simply "minor league guy" during a spring training game against the Mets.
↵↵Tavares is actually pretty good as it turns out, ranked as the #1 hitting prospect in the Cardinals' organization.
