McDonald's All-American Game Score Update: West Leads At Half, 58-46

The 2012 edition of the McDonald's All-American Game tipped off in Chicago on Wednesday night. The home court of the Chicago Bulls is playing host to the annual East vs. West All-Star game that gives the prospects a chance to spotlight their talents on a national stage. At halftime, the West team leads by a score of 58-46.

The players were slow to warm up but the two teams were able to more or less match one another shot for shot throughout the first half, before the West team was able to pull away and open up a double-digit lead.

The biggest star in the game is Shabazz Muhammad, who hails from Las Vegas and is the consensus top prospect in the country. Muhammad is playing for the West team and stated before the game that he has narrowed his decision for a destination shool down to three choices: Duke, UCLA and Kentucky.

Also participating in the game is Amile Jefferson from Friends' Central in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. Jefferson is currently undecided on a destination school.
