After ending the regular season with the longest winning streak in school history, the Drexel Dragons look to continue their success when they meet UNC-Wilmington in the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament quarterfinals at noon Saturday at the Richmond Coliseum.
The Dragons concluded a 25-5 regular season with a thrilling one-point victory at Old Dominion Wednesday. Old Dominion guard Kent Bazemore was fouled on a three-pointer with less than a second remaining and his team trailing by three points, but -- after drilling the first two charity shots -- sealed Drexel's 73-72 win by missing the third.
As the No. 1 seed, Drexel received a first-round bye into the CAA quarterfinals.
No. 9 seed UNC-Wilmington earned the right to meet the Dragons by ousting No. 8 James Madison in the first round on Friday. The Seahawks are paced by Keith Rendleman's 15.5 points and 10.4 rebounds.
