Bracketology 2012: Drexel Still In As An At Large Bid

The Drexel Dragons lost the CAA tournament final last night to VCU and therefore missed out on the chance to guarantee their spot in the NCAA tournament.

However, our resident bracketologist Chris Dobbertean says that finishing the season 19-1 should be enough to get the Dragons in as an at large bid. However, they’ll have to hope that there’s no huge upsets in conference tournaments this week.

VCU won the Colonial Athletic Association crown. Drexel just remains in the field as the final at-large, but will have a nervous week of waiting ahead. As I’ve mentioned before, even though they pass the eye test, I’m not sure how the Selection Committee will respond to the relative weakness of this season’s CAA and the team’s non-conference schedule.
