Evan Turner seems to be settling in to his new job as a starter. Faced with a big Atlantic division game against their most historic rival, Evan Turner and the Sixers turned in one of their best performances of the season as they blew out the Celtics 103-71 at Wells Fargo Center.
Turners scored a career high 26 points and fell just one rebound short of a double-double. Nikola Vucevic, who was also ensconced as a starter just a game ago, turned in one of his best career performances with 14 points and a career high 12 boards. The pair were two of six Sixers to finish in double figures.
The highlight of the night had to be Evan Turner's first quarter, behind the back around Rondo, alley-hoop to Iguodala. It's much better to be seen then explained. Check out the clip from CSNPhilly.
The Sixers pre/post All Star break slump had allowed Boston to crawls back to within one game in the Atlantic, but the big win tonight puts Philly back up by two.
The Sixers are back in action Friday when the Jazz come to town, then on Sunday they head up to Madison Square Garden for their first look at Jeremy Lin and the Knicks.
