The race for the final two Eastern Conference-playoff spot is as tight as its going to get, and the Philadelphia 76ers Tuesday are hoping to earn a slim cushion when they host the New Jersey Nets (7:30 p.m. ET on COMCAST). The 76ers (29-27) are currently in a tie for seventh place with the New York Knicks (29-27), who are both trying to hold off the Milwaukee Bucks (28-29) for the last playoff spot in the East.

On Sunday, Philly made the race tighter losing its fifth straight game in a rout to the Boston Celtics, 103-79, at the TD Garden. The loss dropped the Sixers, who had a three-game lead over the Knicks earlier in the month, into a two-way tie.

And in most cases the Nets (21-37) would be a solid bounce-back opponent, however, they've won five of their last seven games, including a overtime victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday.

This will be the second meeting between these two teams, which will meet two more times in the final 10 games of the regular season.

Here's the basic TV and radio information for the game:

Location: Prudential Center, Newark, NJ

Game Time: 7:30 p.m. ET

TV Information: COMCAST Sports Network

Radio: 94WIP
