The Big East Conference men's lacrosse regular season has one more week to go, however, the league's tournament seedings and pairings were all figured out Saturday. The four-team, two-round event, which will take place May 3-5 at Villanova University's Goudreau Field, will feature the Wildcats as the No. 2 seed and playing No. 3 Syracuse Orange in round one.
The winner will advance to the finals to play either top-seeded Notre Dame or No. 4 St. John's Red Storm.
On Saturday, 'Nova (8-5, 4-1 Big East) lost its first league contest as it fell to Notre Dame, 10-7. Next Saturday, the Wildcats will conclude their regular season against the Providence Friars.
Against the other two Big East Tournament opponents, 'Nova is 2-0 as they downed Syracuse, 11-10, March 25, and defeated St. John's, 10-8, April 14th.
Here's a compite look at the Big East Tournament, which will be held in Philly:
May 3, 12 p.m.: (2) Villanova vs. (3) Syracuse
May 3, 4:30 p.m.: (1) Notre Dame vs. (4) St. John's
