Presswire

The Philadelphia Union will face their toughest test of the 2012 season Sunday, as they host the very hot New York Red Bulls in a nationally televised MLS contest (12:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2) at PPL Park in Chester, Pa. This Eastern Conference showdown will be the first of three meeting between the two franchises, which currently sit on opposite ends of the standings.

Entering Sunday's game, the Union (2-5-1) sit in second-to-last place, seven points ahead of the winless Toronto FC, while New York (6-3-1) is in second place just two points behind first-place Sporting Kansas City. The Union will be trying to snap a two-game losing streak, while New York is on a three-game winning streak.

Philadelphia is hoping its home-field advantage is what will be a big factor in the game, which history tells us (the home team has never lost in this series all-time) it will.
