The 2012 Indianapolis 500 Qualifying field includes Pennsylvania native Marco Andretti.

As of 1:32 p.m. ET on Friday, Andretti had timed the third-fastest lap in practice sessions. Per the Indy Star, he was clocked at 225.916 MPH, just a shade behind James Hinchcliffe (225.974) and Ryan Hunter-Reay (226.007).

Andretti clocked the fastest lap on Tuesday, and afterward called himself the driver to beat.

"I'm really pleased with where we are at with the race car so far. I have just been really working on the car in a pack, and just trying to stay flat in traffic. We have the car to the point now that I am confident to say we would be the ones to beat if the race was today. The speed on its own, I'm a little concerned about. I've said it before, I'll say it again, if we start 33rd we can still win this race."

The 2012 Indianapolis 500 Qualifying Schedule follows:

May 19: Qualifying from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET

May 19: Fast Nine from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET
