2012 Preakness Winner: I'll Have Another Wins Again, Sets Up Triple Crown Run At Belmont

The 2012 Preakness went much like the the 2012 Kentucky Derby. Bodemesiter – the favorite for the second consecutive race – jumped out to an early lead and led much of the way. It wasn't until the final stretch that I'll Have Another made a move, surpassing Bodemesiter in the final few yards to win the second leg of the Triple Crown.

I'll Have Another is owned by J. Paul Reddam, jockeyed by Mario Gutierrez, and trained by Doug F. O'Neill.

It's been 34 years since a horse has won the Triple Crown – since Affirmed did so in 1978. I'll Have Another will have the opportunity to break that streak at the Belmont Stakes.

SB Nation Philly will have news updates, results, and more from the 2012 Preakness. SB Nation's horse racing blog And Down The Stretch They Come has you covered for all your horse racing news and analysis.
