Indy 500 Weather 2012: Mostly Sunny, No Rain In The Forecast

The 96th running of the Indianapolis 500 is only a day away, and the early weather forecast looks a bit hot, but very clear. According to Weather.com, Sunday's forecast is mostly sunny, with a high of 96 degrees and a low of 73. There is zero chance of rain and light winds from the south west, no more than 10 miles per hour. The humidity will be 50 percent and the UV Index is "very high", so bring your sunscreen.

Gates open to the public at 5:33 AM, but the race isn't until noon. Notable events leading up the race itself include: Snake Pits, Bikini/Hot Bod Contest, Engine warm-up, Vintage Cars Laps, Military Tribute Lap and Driver Introductions.
