2012 Indy 500 Live: Scott Dixon Is The Leader At The Midway Point, Marco Andretti Has Led Most Laps

The Indy 500 has officially hit the halfway point, and Scott Dixon is the race leader. Dixon is holding off Dario Franchitti, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Graham Rahal and Takuma Sato, respectively. Marco Andretti, who has led the most laps of the race but surrendered first place because of a pit stop during a caution, is currently in 11th place.

Though, the ending is starting to shape out, the most excitement came around the 80-lap mark, when Will Power and Mike Conway were involved in a wreck. At first look, the wreck didn't seem bad, however, a replay of the crash showed Conway going airborne into the fence.

Luckily, Conway was able to walk away from the crash without any major injuries. Also, at the tail end of that crash Helio Castroneves just avoided being smashed by a tire from Power's car.
