2012 Indy 500 Live: Takuma Sato Leads With 50 Laps To Go, Marco Andretti In 16th Place

There's just 50 laps to go in the Indianapolis 500, and Japan's Takuma Sato is the leader. Sato, who took over the lead during a series of green-flag pit stops, is holding off Dario Franchitti, Scott Dixon, James Hinchcliffe and Justin Wilson, respectively.

Marco Andretti is in 16th place and lost some ground on the leaders after he needed to pit because of some bad vibrations in his car. Andretti has led the most laps and was running in third place at the time of him pitting, so there's still hope he can pull off his first 500 victory,

The event has seen just four cautions and is being raced under the hottest condition its 96-year history as its 96 degrees at the Brickyard.
