The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup is coming to Philadelphia for the first time.

The Philadelphia Union are hosting the Rochester Rhinos in a third-round match on Tuesday evening at PPL Park.

The Union has never won a U.S. Open Cup match before. They're 0-2 up to this point, losing in penalties last season to D.C. United and falling to the New York Red Bulls in 2010.

The Rhinos have gotten to this point by beating the Brooklyn Italians 3-0 last Tuesday in the second round.

The tournament is named for Lamar Hunt, who is one of the biggest reasons the united States has high-quality soccer. Hunt passed in 2006 and is known by many as the founder of the American Football League and Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL.

However, he was instrumental in bringing professional soccer into this country and making it a well-known entity.

Tickets for this event range from $15 to $30 dollars, while suites and premium seats are available. Call 877-25-UNION for tickets. Group rates will knock $5 off each ticket if the order is 15 seats or more.
