2012 French Open Final: Rafael Nadal Wins His 7th Title In Victory Over Novak Djokovic

Rafael Nadal's 6-4, 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 win against Novak Djokovic resulted in his seventh French Open title on Monday in a rain-delayed championship match up with the world's No. 1 tennis player. Djokovic was is still the best in the game by most accounts, but Nadal, being the clay court beast that he is, took it to him anyway.

Nadal actually trailed Djokovic 2-1 in the fourth set when play resumed Monday following an 18-hour rain delay.

Despite the fact that Djokovic had Nadal's number last year and has defeated seven out of the last 10 matchups, the Spaniard was fearless on the courts where he'd had his most success and where he is now the most prolific player in the tournament's history.

The victory for Nadal broke a tie with Bjorn Borg for most titles won in the clay court major.
