The Philadelphia Phillies (29-33) look to bounce back after dropping two of three to the Baltimore Orioles as they start a three game series against the Minnesota Twins (24-35) tonight at Target Field.
Philadelphia will send Kyle Kendrick (2-5, 4.44 ERA) to the mound to try and get the Phillies back on track. Kendrick has been one of Philadelphia's more consistent pitchers, giving up two earned runs or less in six of his last eight starts.
The Phillies will be going up against Nick Blackburn (2-4, 7.75 ERA), who had his best start of the season last week after missing the last three weeks with a strained quadriceps muscle. Blackburn gave up five hits and two earned runs in 5 innings of work in Minnesota's 4-2 win over Kansas City. Before being sidelined, Blackburn gave up five earned runs or more in five of his seven starts to begin the season.
