U.S. Open Golf Leaderboard 2012: Jim Furyk Makes Turn At 1-Under-Par, Three Shots Back

West Chester, PA native and 2003 U.S. Open champion Jim Furyk finished his first nine holes at the 2012 U.S. Open at 1-under-par, which puts him three shots off the leader in the clubhouse Michael Thompson.

Furyk is currently tied with three-time U.S. Open champ Tiger Woods (seven others) for second place in the tournament on Thursday. Furyk made a birdie on hole #6 (a par 4 hole) to put him under par for the first nine holes. He's been doing a great job of hitting fairways and greens in regulation and kept his number of putts down. The leader had four birdies on the back nine. Stay tuned to see if Furyk can do something similar and take or share the lead after the first day at the Olympic Club in San Francisco, CA.
