U.S. Open 2012 Golf Leaderboard: Jim Furyk Finishes 1-Under-Par On Friday

After his first two rounds at the 2012 U.S. Open at the Olympic Club in San Francisco, CA, West Chester, PA native Jim Furyk is tied for second place with a 1-under-par score. Tiger Woods and David Toms also are currently 1-under-par.

Furyk finished at even par on Thursday by shooting a 70. On Friday, Furyk followed up with a 1-under-par 69. Furyk trails the current leader Michael Thompson by three shots. Thompson is just beginning his second round of the tournament.

Through two rounds, Furyk has hit 75 percent of greens in regulation (27 of 36) despite only hitting 46.43 percent of fairways in regulation (13 of 28). Furyk is a perfect 2-for-2 on sand saves at the Olympic Club.

Furyk won the 2003 U.S. Open Championship and will be hoping to keep his quest for a second title going this weekend.
