2012 MLB Futures Game: Lisalverto Bonilla, Julio Rodriguez To Represent Philadelphia Phillies

Pitchers Lisalverto Bonilla and Julio Rodriguez will represent the Philadelphia Phillies farm system in the 2012 MLB Futures Game, an exhibition featuring most of the top minor league talent that will take place on July 8 as part of the MLB's All-Star weekend festivities. Both will play for the World team.

Bonilla, a 22-year old righty who has transitioned into the bullpen, is 3-2 with a 1.95 ERA this season over 25 combined appearances between Single-A Clearwater and Double-A Reading. He has recorded two saves and 51 strikeouts over 37.0 innings. Counting just his Double-A stats, Bonilla is 2-1 with a 2.28 ERA and 33 strikeouts over 23.2 innings.

Rodriguez, a 21-year old righty starter, is 4-1 with a 2.81 ERA over 13 starts, all with Double-A Reading. He has recorded 71 strikeouts over 73.2 innings.
