The Philadelphia Flyers are one of a number of teams talking with the Columbus Blue Jackets about trading for RW Rick Nash before Friday's NHL Draft according to a report from Tim Panaccio of CSNPhilly.com.

Columbus general manager Scott Howson had an hour long meeting with Nash's agent Joe Resnick in Pittsburgh before the draft. When asked on how the meeting went, Howson wanted to keep the conversation private,

"We exchanged some information. I prefer to keep what was said quiet. I think that is the best way to operate. It was a good meeting. It lasted almost an hour and we exchanged a lot of ideas."

While a deal isn't imminent for Nash according to Towson, he is more optimistic now than at the deals he saw at the trade deadline last season.

When asked why, Towson replied,

"I think there is more legitimate possibilities out there right now."

According to Panaccio, the New York Rangers, Ottawa Senators and San Jose Sharks are among the other possible destinations for the 28-year old Nash.

Nash has six years left on his long term contract that he signed in 2009. Nash has a yearly $7.8 million cap hit on his contract.
