NASCAR at Dover 2012: Jimmie Johnson Wins FedEx 400

Jimmie Johnson won the FedEx 400 on Sunday at Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware. The win is the second of 2012 for Johnson. There were seven yellow flags during the day before the checkered flag was waved.

Johnson began the race in second place and took the lead for the first time on lap 1 and battled pole-sitter Mark Martin over the first 120 laps and teammate Jeff Gordon later in the race. Johnson led for 289 total laps (out of 400), including the final 76 of the race. The win at Dover was the seventh of Johnson's career, which ties him for the most all-time at the track with NASCAR legends Richard Petty and Bobby Allison.
