Before play was suspended due to weather at Wimbledon 2012 on Monday, most of the top seeds got their matches in. No. 1 Novak Djokovic and No. 3 Roger Federer both won while No. 1 Maria Sharapova was upset.

Men's Results:
No. 1 Novak Djokovic defeated Viktor Troikcki, 6-3, 6-1, 6-3
No. 3 Roger Federer defeated Xavier Matisse, 7-6 (7-1), 6-1, 4-6, 6-3
No. 4 Andy Murray, No. 5 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and No. 7 seed David Ferrer did not get to play or were not able to finish their rounds on Monday.
Women's Results:
No. 15 Sabine Lisicki defeated No. 1 Maria Sharapova, 6-4, 6-3
No. 2 Victoria Azarenka defeated No. 14 Ana Ivanovic, 6-1, 6-0
No. 3 Agnieszka Radwanska defeated Camila Giorgi, 6-2, 6-3
No. 4 Petra Kvitova defeated No. 24 Francesca Schiavone, 4-6, 7-5, 6-1
No. 6 Serena Williams defeated Yaroslava Shvedova, 6-1, 2-6, 7-5
No. 8 Angelique Kerber defeated Kim Clijsters, 6-1, 6-1
