The exhibition schedule for the USA men's basketball team will come to its conclusion Tuesday (4:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2), when Team USA takes on Spain in Barcelona. The contest will be a tune-up for the upcoming 2012 Olympic Games, which will hold its opening ceremonies on Thursday.
Entering the Olympics, Team USA and Spain are FIBA's No. 1 and No. 2 ranked teams, respectively. Spain, which features a handful of NBA players such as Paul Gasol (Los Angeles Lakers), Marc Gasol (Memphis Grizzles) and Serge Ibaka (Oklahoma City Thunder), is expected to be USA's toughest opponent.
Since '92, USA owns a 5-1 record over Spain which lost twice to Team USA at the '08 games. One of those losses was in the Gold Medal Game.
Team USA begins Olympic play on Sunday against France (7:30 p.m. ET).
