2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony: Torch Lighting, Parade Of Nations And More In London

The Opening Ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics is already complete, but NBC's airing of the event is happening on tape delay so people can watch in prime time across the country.

The traditional lighting of the torch has taken place, and the Parade of Nations is set to come, complete with all the dire athlete fashion questions of the 2012 Games. Danny Boyle put together something of a spectacle for the show, including a large number running through centuries of British history, culminating in the Olympic Rings seeming to float in to position. SB Nation has an Opening Ceremony live blog running with commentary and gifs covering everything that's happened so far and continuing through the event, so be sure to check it out.
