2012 Summer Olympics Preview: Team USA Soccer, Beach Volleyball And More On July 28

Saturday July 28 is the first full day of action at the 2012 Olympic Games, and Team USA is in London pursuing gold in both individual and team events. Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh-Jennings represent the US in Women's Beach Volleyball, and the Women's Soccer team is in action against Columbia. There are also a number of local athletes representing the US tomorrow.

Jamie Gray of Lebanon, PA is one of those local athletes, competing in the Women's 10m Air Rifle shooting event. Carli Lloyd, New Jersey native and Rutgers graduate is a member of the Women's Soccer team. She's joined by fellow local Nicole Banhart, Pennsylvania native and Philadelphia Independence member.

Events that will see medals awarded on Saturday are: Swimming (Women's 4x100m Freestyle, Women's 400m IM, Men's 400m IM), Weightlifting (Women's 48kg/106lb), Shooting (Women's 10m Air Rifle, Men's 10m Air Pistol), Judo (Women's 48kg, Men's 60kg), Fencing (Women's Individual Foil), Cycling (Men's Road Race) and Archery (Men's Team.) In addition to the Women's Soccer and Volleyball teams, Team USA will see action in Women's basketball, taking on Croatia.
