West Chester, Penn. native Jim Furyk finished his Friday round 5-over-par at the 2012 PGA Championship at on the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina.
Furyk is 5-over-par for the tournament as well after finishing at an even par on Thursday. Tiger Woods has surged into the lead at 5-under-par. Carl Pettersson, who led most of the first two rounds, is tied for second at 4-under-par.
Furyk finished above the projected cut line of 6-over-par so he should still be on the course for the weekend rounds. The 2003 U.S. Open champion's best finish in the PGA Championship was tied for sixth in 1997. He is currently tied for 53rd in the 2012 PGA Championship. Defending PGA Championship winner Keegan Bradley is 1-over-par for the tournament.
