2012 London Olympics: Team USA Collects Gold In Wrestling And Sets World Record In The 4x100m Track Relay

Friday was another full day of action at the 2012 London Olympics, highlighted by Sicklerville native Jordan Burroughs winning a gold medal in wrestling and Team USA men's basketball advancing in the semi-finals over Argentina with a 109-83 victory. It was a good day for the U.S. in the medal count as well, with Team USA now holding the lead with 95 total medals, compared to China's 81 and Russia's 59.

Another accomplishment by American athletes on Friday was a gold medal in the women's 4x100m relay event. Tianna Madison, Allyson Felix, Bianca Knight and Carmelita Jeter set a new world record in the event, winning gold with a time of 40.82. A bronze medal for Paige McPherson in women's 67kg taekwondo rounds out the medals won by Team USA on Friday.
