Nnamdi Asomugha Misses Eagles Morning Walkthrough

Eagles CB Nnamdi Asomugha was missing from the Eagles walkthrough this morning after a collision with safety Nate Allen yesterday left him with a lacerated lip and sore neck.

As with any head related injury, the team followed the league mandated concussion protocols and the All Pro corner was not found to have any symptoms. Typically a second concussion test is performed the following day in case the symptoms are late developing. However, at this point all signs point to the Eagles having dodged a bullet on this one.

The incident occurred when Asomugha and Allen both attempted to break up a Michael Vick pass intended for DeSean Jackson. The two collided in midair and went down hard. Allen got up and resume practice, but Nnamdi was down for several minutes before taking a cart ride back to the locker room.

The Eagles will hold a full workout this afternoon. No word yet on whether Asomugha will take part.
