The Temple Owls and Villanova Wildcats, both partial members of the Big East Conference, will learn Tuesday who their new league commissioner will be. And according to Mark Blaudschun of a NewJerseyGuy.com, it will be CBS VP Mike Aresco, who will be named the Big East's final choice later in the day.

The selection comes after months of searching by the league, which is currently being headed by interim commissioner Joseph Bailey III, who took over after John Marinatto resigned in May.

For the Owls, who this season are playing as a football-only member before being a full-fledged member in 2013, and the Wildcats, who are a basketball-only member, this move is expected to help the league earn more money during its upcoming television contract negotiations.

Since '96, Aresco has been a big part of CBS' properties, including contract negotiations.
