Sixers To Formally Introduce Andrew Bynum On Wednesday

The four team blockbuster deal between the Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic, Denver Nuggets and the hometown Philadelphia 76ers shook the NBA world last week with Philly emerging as a big winner as the team came away with one of the best big men in the game in Andrew Bynum.

The Sixers will formally introduce the 24-year-old Bynum at a public press conference today at the National Constitution Center in Old City. The doors open at 9am.

The Constitution Center has played host to former presidents George HW Bush, Bill Clinton and even current President Barakc Obama. People like Muhammad Ali and Bono have been honored there.

Now, Andrew Bynum joins that distinguished list.

Bynum brings several elements with him to the Sixers which include two championship rings earned with the Lakers in 2009 and 2010. He also brings a dominant low-post presence at the center position, the likes of which Sixers fans haven't seen since Moses Malone.

The press conference is scheduled to take place at 12:15 p.m. ET.
