The Philadelphia Phillies have to be feeling good despite losing on Wednesday afternoon against the Miami Marlins.
After taking the series in Florida, the Phillies have traveled north for a four-game set with the middling Milwaukee Brewers.
Cliff Lee will take the mound on Thursday for Philly, looking to bounce back from back-to-back rough outings in which he allowed four runs in each. Lee has had a rough year with just two wins to his credit, despite having a decent ERA of 3.88.
In his previous start against Milwaukee on July 25, Lee was touched up for 12 hits including four home runs. He gave up six runs in just seven innings, ultimately taking the no decision.
The Brewers are sending Marco Estrada to the bump to oppose the ex-Cy Young Award winner. Estrada is still looking for his first win on the campaign with an 0-5 record to his name.
He's only had one start against the Phillies, albeit the day after Lee pitched against Milwaukee in July. Estrada didn't pitch much better, surrendering five runs on eight hits in four frames.
