Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha returned to practice briefly on Thursday before leaving again.
Asomugha's neck is apparently still sore after the collision he had with safety Nate Allen on Monday. The collision occurred when both players were going after a pass. Asomugha got the worse of the contact, coming away from the hit with a sore neck and a lacerated lip.

Eagles coach Andy Reid said linebacker Casey Matthews had an MRI, which revealed a high ankle sprain. Matthews missed practice as a result. Defensive lineman Jason Babin (calf) and wide receiver Riley Cooper (collarbone) also missed practice. Babin could still play in the final preseason game, according to Reid.
Offensive guard Brandon Washington returned to practice on Thursday after being cleared following a concussion.
