Phillies Vs. Brewers Recap: Milwaukee Makes It Two Straight With 6-2 Win

The Phillies dropped their second straight game in Milwaukee on Friday night and will now have to take the weekend pair to split the series against the Brewers. After losing on a late-inning grand slam by Corey Hart on Thursday, it was the Phillies offense that went silent on Friday in a 6-2 loss.

Milwaukee put together a four-run rally against Vance Worley in the bottom of the fourth that would prove to be the difference. Worley retired the first two batters of the inning, but things quickly got away from there. A Nyjer Morgan triple to right center scored Corey Hart and Martin Maldonado to give the Brewers the lead for good. Later that inning, Worley failed to retire the pitcher Yovani Gallardo, who added two more with a single to score Morgan and Jean Segura.

On the other side, Gallardo was impressive in shutting down the Phillies' lineup. He allowed just one run through seven innings, a Ryan Howard RBI double. The Phils will try get the third game on Saturday with Cole Hamels on the hill. Hamels is going for his third straight complete game shutout.
