The Philadelphia Phillies took care of the Milwaukee Brewers, beating the Crew 4-3 at Miller Park on Saturday night.
Cole Hamels picked up his 15th win of the season with another impressive outing. The southpaw saw his scoreless innings streak snapped in the second, but went on to only allow two more runs on eight hits in 7.2 innings. Hamels also only walked one and struck out 10.
The Phillies got the job done with home runs off the bats of John Mayberry and Erik Kratz. Both took losing pitcher Michael Fiers deep in the second inning with Mayberry's being a two-run shot.
Chase Utley and Ryan Howard each had two hits including a pair of doubles for the hulking first baseman.
The Brewers also hit a couple of home runs, with Ryan Braun and Aramis Ramirez taking Hamels over the wall. Braun's chased Hamels from the game when his two-run blast made it a 4-3 game.
Philly will try to split the series on Sunday afternoon with Kyle Kendrick on the hill.
