West Chester native Jim Furyk has made the most of golf's version of a postseason, the FedEx Cup. The 42-year-old won the cup back in 2010, and enters this weekend's The Barclays — the first event in 2012's FedEx Cup schedule — in 17th in the points standings.
Most of the attention this weekend at Bethpage's famed Black Course will likely be focused on Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, who not only will tee off together in Thursday's opening round action, but also enter the weekend in first and third in the points standings, respectively.
Jason Dufner quietly enters the weekend at the No. 2 spot, having finished in the top 10 in PGA events eight times this season.
Current West Chester resident Sean O'Hair also tees off this weekend in eastern Long Island, and currently sits at No. 58 on the points leaderboard after finishing in the top 10 of two PGA events this year.
